5 Things to Know About Lip Injections and Lip Filler
Dermal Fillers going on at White Coat Aesthetics in Las Vegas, NV

Non-surgical lip augmentation is an easy way to enhance your appearance. At White Coat Aesthetics, we love being able to give you that full and natural-looking lip you’ve been dreaming of. Keep reading to discover five important tips about receiving lip fillers!

It is important to go to a licensed professional.
Lip filler is both a science and an art, so its not only important to go to a trained and certified professional such as a nurse practitioner, physician, or registered nurse, but you should also look for somebody who has a great deal of experience injecting clients. At White Coat Aesthetics, our injector has been trained and certified as a nurse practitioner and is highly experienced in lip fillers.

There are many types of lip filler products.
Are you looking for larger, more voluptuous lips or are you looking for more of a natural lip plump? Product choice is especially important for this! At White Coat Aesthetics, we offer Juvederm® Ultra, Juvederm® Ultra Plus, Juvederm® Volbella, and Juvederm® Vollure. We also offer Restylane® L, Restylane® Refyne, and Restylane® Defyne. It can be very confusing to know which type of lip filler you want. This is why it is important to go to an injector who has experience in these products to help you determine what filler will be perfect for your lips!

You will see immediate results, but you’ll also see some swelling:
Lip filler is so fun because you’ll see results from the moment you leave! Your lips will be swollen for a few days after filler, but will gradually feel much more normal and natural as time goes on. Give your lips at least a week or two before you fully evaluate your results because it takes some time for the filler to fully integrate into your tissues.

Are lip filler injections painful?
At White Coat Aesthetics, all of our patients are numbed using a topical numbing cream before lip filler is given. Our products also contain lidocaine in them so you will begin to feel numb from both the topical cream and the lip filler itself! The numbing feeling will go away within a few hours after treatment. Pain tolerance does vary from person to person but most patients find that the treatment is more comfortable than they expect!

How long does the procedure take?
Lip filler injections themselves only take about 10-15 minutes! For your appointment at White Coat Aesthetics, we book out an hour of time for you and the injector to go over any questions you may have as well as to discuss what type of product you are interested in. This also gives you time to allow the numbing cream to take effect before the injections begin.

We hope we’ve answered a few questions you’ve had about lip fillers! Feel free to call us to book your free consultation if you have any further questions!
